What we do

  • Overnight Care

Drop off any hour, day or night. We have a Broward County nighttime endorsement (Code 7-3(28)) so you can leave your child with us when your shift starts at 10 PM.

  • Infant & Toddler

Six weeks through 3 years old. Small groups, teachers who speak more than one language, and the same faces every day.

  • VPK Pre-K (Free)

We're a Florida VPK provider. If your child turns 4 by September 1, the state pays for their pre-K here.

  • Before & After School

For K through 5th graders. Early drop-off before school, pick-up after, a snack, homework help, and supper before you get them.

  • Weekend Care

We're open Saturdays and Sundays. A lot of our parents work hospital, retail, and hospitality weekends.

  • Hot Meals (CACFP)

Three meals a day, included. We're on the USDA Child & Adult Care Food Program through Family Central, Inc.

  • Need a ride?

Some families we work it out with — call and ask. There's a small fee depending on where you are.

A few things to know

  1. We're open when you work

Most of our parents are nurses, hospitality workers, or driving buses and Ubers at night. We staff the overnight because somebody has to.

  2. Four languages, every day

Our teachers speak English, Español, Kreyòl Ayisyen, and Français. Whatever your child hears at home, they'll hear here too.

  3. It's a family business

Dorothy has run FCIA since 2017. She's here. If you have a question, you'll get her, not a call center.

Questions we get a lot

Are you licensed for overnight care?

Yes — Broward County license 50193, with the nighttime endorsement under Code 7-3(28). We have somebody on staff every overnight shift.

What ages do you take?

Six weeks old up through 5th grade. That covers infants, toddlers, VPK pre-K, and before/after-school for the older kids.

Do you take ELC or VPK?

We're a VPK provider, so VPK yes. For ELC / School Readiness, call us first — that contract changes year to year and we'll tell you where we stand.

What languages do your teachers speak?

English, Español, Kreyòl Ayisyen, and Français. Most of our teachers grew up speaking one of those at home.

How fast will I hear back?

Dorothy answers the form herself. You'll usually get a text from her in about a minute. Tours get booked over text.
